INTEGRITY PARTNERS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND’S QUEST PROGRAM
Emergency Management Team to Work with QUEST Students to Develop Social Media Platform
Frederick, Md., September 29, 2010 –Integrity Consulting today announced its partnership with the University of Maryland’s QUEST program, a reality-based learning curriculum that allows students to tackle challenging real-world engagements. Integrity is enlisting the support of the QUEST program to build a social media platform that will provide a community of collaboration and communication for Emergency Management and Homeland Security professionals.
Integrity will engage the QUEST program to help solve challenges within the Emergency Management and Homeland Security realm. Under Integrity guidance, the QUEST student team is tasked with social media and taxonomy requirements for a secure and trusted platform that will cultivate relationships and provide a safe haven for information sharing. The outcome of this project will enable collaboration and information sharing working groups for both public and private resources.
“As a Maryland-based consulting firm, Integrity is excited to offer a challenging project to the standout students of the University of Maryland’s QUEST program,” said Patrick Wheeler, Managing Principle and CEO, Integrity Consulting. “This program is known for its high quality results each fall, as student teams provide consulting services to corporate partners. We have already seen the exceptional talent these students possess and look forward to gaining a new generational perspective on this initiative.”
Supporting local establishments is important to Integrity, and participation in QUEST is mutually beneficial to both Integrity and the University of Maryland. Students are given the experience of real-world problem solving during the course of what is expected to be a four-month engagement. Integrity has made a considerable donation to the UMD QUEST program in support of the students.
The QUEST program is a three-year honors program for students in business, engineering and technology majors. The highly selective program teaches students about quality management, process improvement and system design in a team environment. Quest partnerships allow the University of Maryland to provide the best in innovative, reality-based learning while concurrently exposing clients to students and providing valuable deliverables.
